I am going out on a limb writing this letter ahead of an event in
hopes that the speculation is true. Bulletin letters are always
written a week earlier than the bulletin appears, but because of the
July Fourth holiday the bulletin is getting printed even earlier.
The rumors say that Pope Benedict will be releasing his next
encyclical on June 29. If that is true, then when you are reading
this bulletin letter you will have already read the press reports
talking about the encyclical. You will know much more than I do as I
write this letter. What I do know is that it will be entitled
Veritas in Caritate (Truth in Charity) and it will be a
meditation on the vast theme of the economy and work.
